By applying the ASPIRE Model© to our organization, we've escalated the participation of our President in fundraising and the engagement of influential volunteers in our leadership along with our major gift success.
Susan, Steve and Deborah take a strategic approach to fundraising that considers the whole organization within a fundraising context and builds everyone’s buy-in. We began with a development assessment, went through strategic and operational planning, and then focused on implementing an enhanced and more disciplined major gift program.
With Aspire’s guidance on making the highest and best use of our recent wealth screening data, we are better able to prioritize our meets with major donors and build a pipeline of emerging major donors for the future. In addition, their knowledge of best practices in fundraising and nonprofit management has been invaluable to all of us. In fact, on one recent fundraising trip, our president and I returned home with commitments totaling more than $600,000 from three donors with whom we’d met.
After the first year of implementing the assessment recommendations, we increased our major gift revenue ($5,000 and higher gifts from individuals) by more than 50 percent!
